Publishing conditions

Publishing conditions act as a filter to evaluate an entity definition against specified business rules. You define publishing conditions for each entity definition. Within these conditions, you can specify a delivery schedule that determines when to publish the entities.

Each entity passes through this evaluation filter, and all the business rules are checked. Only the entities successfully passing the evaluation filter are published to the delivery platform.

Within publishing conditions, you can:

  • For each definition, create rules based on related entity values: for example, M.Final.LifeCycle.Status is Approved.
  • Apply multiple (or nested) rules including AND/OR conditions for the same definition.

Create or update publishing conditions

To create publishing conditions, or update existing ones:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage .

  2. On the Delivery platform page, search for the desired definition.

  3. On the definition, click (or if the definition is already published).

  4. In the Delivery platform settings dialog box, make sure that Enable in delivery platform is turned On . If not, to turn it On, click the switch.

  5. To add a condition, click + Condition.

    Tip

You can add a nested condition within an existing condition by clicking + Condition, or Make group . If you add nested conditions, make sure to select whether to include each condition as AND or OR.

  2. Under SCHEDULED DELIVERY, in the drop-down list, select the desired option:

    • The available options vary according to the entity definition.
    • For example, on the M.Content definition, you could select Published on (Content.PublishedOn) so that your content is published automatically on this date.
