Enable in collections

Enabling a custom entity definition in Collections allows you to add entities of this type to the collection. You can also perform a facet search or filter and select inside the collection when you enable the entity definition.

You are prompted to provide the associated detail page name when you enable a custom entity definition in Collections.

When you:

  • provide a detail page: relations are created to enable navigation and interactions with the detail page from within Collections.
  • do not provide a detail page: all navigation and interactions with the detail page are disabled.

When you enable an entity definition in Collections, Sitecore Content Hub™:

  • extends the entity definition with the relations and properties required for Collections.
  • updates the CollectionSetting with the definition name and the new relation name.
  • updates the Search, Details, and Selection components used on the collection detail page.
  • updates the Search and Details components used by the Creation component on the collection detail page.
